Dr. Sherman practices general orthopaedics with special interest in hand and upper extremity surgery; joint replacement of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers; arthritis surgery; sports medicine; arthroscopy of shoulder, knee, hip and ankle; and fracture care.

Credentials

Dr. Sherman is board-certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published articles and given presentations on hand and upper extremity surgery. He is an active staff member at Meritus Medical Center, Waynesboro Hospital and the Robinwood Surgical Center.

Education

Dr. Sherman earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his residency at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center and the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. His fellowship training was at Central New York Hand Center in Syracuse, NY, where he developed skills in adult and adolescent hand and shoulder reconstruction, trauma and post-traumatic reconstruction and total joint replacement.
